General Submission Guidelines

• General submissions will be received until November 1, 2022. Our last issue, Volume 35, will be published on April 20, 2023.

• Manuscripts must be previously unpublished, typed, and must contain a cover letter with a short biographical statement.

• Your name and address must be on the first page.

• Fiction and nonfiction must be double-spaced, and limited to 5,000 words.

• Poetry must be single-spaced, with clear indications of stanza breaks. Submit up to five poems.

• Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but notify us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere.

• Note that we do not accept submissions by e-mail.

• There is a $3 fee to submit online.

• There is no fee to submit by mail, however you must enclose a Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope.

• If accepted, you will receive two contributor's copies of The Briar Cliff Review.
